Cross Country Profile:
Cameron Gueldner
Olathe Northwest runner Cameron Gueldner has
battled through injuries to P.R a few times.
When asked what she could work on. "Get
Healthier and pay more attention to my health not just overwork myself but
still train hard," she said.
Gueldner when healthy is one of the best
runners not just for Olathe Northwest but in the
Sunflower league. Set back by an iron
deficiency, Gueldner could only compete in 3 races. But this season she is
ready to remain healthy and compete.
Gueldner is one of the hardest working girls on
the team. Gueldner said when asked about her strengths “ hardworking and
encouraging others for the team”.
Gueldner started cross country in 7th
grade because of her mom. Gueldner says “my mom encouraged me to do cross
country in 7th and 8th grade and I wanted to see where I
could take it in high school”.
Gueldner has competed in Minnesota, Joplin,
Missouri and got to compete in the Nike Cross Regionals in South Dakota.
Gueldner will be one of the key runners for
this years team and will have her first meet this Thursday against Shawnee
Mission South.
